Wildflowers August 21, 2002

Found blooming in Cook County, Minnesota by Lorraine Anderson (Be sure to check out the past reports linked at the right as well!)

The four of us had coffee together and discussed the "Mystery Coralroot".  Now the discussion is between Autumn & Early Coralroot. J said she knew where some Early Coralroot was growing and we went to see if it was still there. It wasn't. We had samples of Spotted Coralroot - Corallorhiza maculata and Yellow Coralroot - Corallorhiza ochrokuca and found it was neither of these.  If you can identify it (pictured above), please let us know!
The fog was so bad it wasn't safe to drive so we went home.
The new sightings below are from around Mink Lake where the other coralroots were and Artist's Point.

The "Mystery" has now been solved... Two years later!
