Wildflowers July 20th, 2001

Found blooming at Gooseberry State Park by Erik W. L. Anderson.  The fireweed, evening primrose, and harebell were beautiful! (Be sure to check out the past reports linked at the right as well!)

Clover, Red ssp.

Cow-Parsnip - Heracleum maximum

Daisy , Ox-eye- Chrysanthemum leucanthemum  

Vetch , Purple- Vicia americana

Yarrow - Achillea lanulosa

Fireweed - Epilobium angustifolium

Black-eyed Susan - Rudbeckia serotina

Primrose, Common Evening - Oenothera biennis

Trefoil, Birdfoot - Lotus corniculatus 


Common Sow Thistle - Sonchus oleraceus*

Thistle, Canada - Cirsium arvense*

Harebell - Campanula rotundifolia*

Tansy, Common - Lilium tigrinum*

Bush Honeysuckle -  Diervilla lonicera


I also found ripe wild strawberries.
