Located on Hwy 53, the Orr/Pelican area is surrounded by
the Superior National Forest, Voyageurs National Park, and the Boundary
Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Pelican Lake is an 11,000 acre lake
with over 50 islands. The shallow watered lake is home to panfish,
northern pike, and abundant bass. During the
Winter, the area is popular for
snowmobiling and
cross country
skiing.
